The Shtokman Development Company will by September this year open an office in Teriberka, the hub for the Shtokman project.
The new office will be registered in Murmansk Oblast, Aleksandr Selin, representative of the Gazprom subsidiary Sevmorneftegaz reports to B-port.com. Talking to journalists today, Mr. Selin also confirmed that the ship "Bavenit" from September this year will start underwater mapping of the areas around the Shtokman field

According to plans, the Shtokman field will be in operation from year 2013. A 600 km long underwater pipeline will connect two offshore platforms with gas reception facilities in Teriberka. A land-based pipeline will be built futher to the Baltic Sea where the Shtokman gas will be transported further through the Nord Stream pipeline.

The Shtokman Development Company is registered in Zug, Switzerland. It is 51 percent owned by Gazprom, 25 percent owned by Total and 24 percent owned by StatoilHydro.
