The order of the Government of the Russian Federation of 31.03.2020 No. 810-r to borders of seaport Murmansk made changes, the press service of Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosmorport reports. The adjustments relate to the inclusion in the borders of the port of Murmansk of three water sections in the area of the lip of Ura, where NOVATEK plans to organize an offshore transfer complex of liquefied natural gas (LNG) intended for the trans-shipment of LNG using floating gas storage facilities.

In April 2019, the Government of the Russian Federation approved a plan for the implementation of the investment project "Offshore transfer complex of liquefied natural gas in the Murmansk region." In July 2019, the Government of the Russian Federation included the LNG project of the NOVATEK terminal in the Murmansk region in the territorial planning scheme.

The marine reloading complex will be three raid piers. On two raid piers it is planned to unlock two floating gas storage facilities with a length of 330 m and a width of 60 m. Each PCG will be fixed by a system of 32 prismatic anchors weighing 200 tons fixed at the bottom. To PCG will be able to mooring gas carriers of Yamalmax type with a length of 300 m, a width of 50 m and a draught in the cargo of 13 m.

A buoyancy section designed to accommodate auxiliary fleet vessels and tugs will be installed at the third raid berth.

The Murmansk branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" plans to carry out the pilot wiring of ships going for loading and unloading to the sea reloading complex, as well as to ensure the safety of navigation using the Kola Gulf SARS. In this regard, it is planned to build an ARTP in the lip of Ura and to integrate it into the Kola Gulf SUDS.

As reported by IAA "PortNews," earlier NOVATEK-Murmansk and the management of NO Vidyayevo signed certificates of reception and transfer of land for the construction of the offshore transfer complex of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
