On November 13-14, 2019, the 12th international conference “Development of the Arctic shelf: step by step” was held. The conference was supported by the Government of the Murmansk region. The Governor of the Murmansk Region Chibis Andrey Vladimirovich, member of the Federation Council from the Murmansk Region Dolgov Konstantin Konstantinovich Dolgov, the head of the Committee of the Murmansk Regional Duma Valery Nikolayevich Panteleev, Eric Svedahl, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Norway in Murmansk addressed welcoming remarks to the participants.

Over 2 days of work, 120 conference participants from 10 countries discussed the formation of a service cluster of contractors around large Arctic projects, the development of the Arctic shelf, the development of coastal infrastructure and supply bases for offshore projects, the environmental responsibility of operators when conducting business in the Arctic, and the staffing of offshore projects.

20 speeches were made, and a record number of meetings were organized at the contact exchange - more than 200.
