On the 9th of October 2019, the expert session “Cross border cooperation and development of road infrastructure on the North” was held. Issues on best practices of international cooperation in road management field, traffic safety and winter road maintenance were discussed.
Event was carried out within the international infrastructure project “General Furnishing and Surface Infrastructure Development of “Kola – Verhnetulomsky – BCP Lotta” Road”. Project is implemented with financial support of Kolactic CBC ENI Program 2014-2020. Lead partner is GOKU “Murmanskavtodor”. Project partners are ANO “Project Management Center” (Murmansk, Ru) and Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for Lapland (FI). Project is supported by the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of the Murmansk region and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Murmansk region.
Partners of two infrastructure projects – “Road reconstruction “Kaamanen-Kirkenes” and “General Furnishing and Surface Infrastructure Development of “Kola – Verhnetulomsky – BCP Lotta” Road” of Kolactic CBC ENI 2014-2020 program, authority representatives of regional near border municipalities were invited as experts. Within the event, Children drawings contest “How roads help cross-border cooperation” was implemented.
