Association "Murmanshelf" took part in the plant "Liebherr" inauguration on 25th of  June 2011 in Dzerzhinsk of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
A capsule with a letter to the descendants was founded by the concern co-owner Willi Liebherr and Governor of The Nizhny Novgorod Region Valery Shantsev on 19th of  January 2009.
During the opening of the plant in the summer of 2011 a symbolic start of production equipment commissioning was made.
Construction equipment, metal constructions and components for various types of equipment production and assemblage will be produced at the new plant as well as production and assemblage of key components for flight control systems. Investment in the project totaled more than 200 million Euros. About 150 staff members currently work at the plant in Dzerzhinsk already. In the longer term, The "Liebherr" group of companies will create more than six hundred new jobs in the Nizhniy Novgorod region.
According to the company representatives the elements of metal constructions for excavation equipment will be supplied to the "Liebherr" plants in Germany, France and Austria, tower cranes will be sold in Russia, and equipment for the aviation industry will be produced for Russian aviation industry and for West European companies.
