2nd Environmental Protection, Monitoring Systems & Oil Spill Contingency Workshop took place in Murmansk on the 17th of September, 2013. It was organized within the frame of the project “Russian-Norwegian oil & gas industry cooperation in the High North” (RU-NO Barents project).

On May 30, 2013 Igor Sechin, Rosneft President and Chairman of the Management Board, held talks with CNPC management as part of a working trip to Beijing.

Rosneft signed a cooperation agreement with INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) to jointly explore license offshore blocks Magadan-2 and Magadan-3 in the Russian section of the Sea of Okhotsk. Estimated recoverable resources of the two blocks stand at 1,577 million tonnes of oil equivalent.

Fukui (Japan) hosted today the eighth meeting of the Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) between Gazprom and the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) under the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The meeting was chaired by the JCC Co-chairmen – Vitaly Markelov Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Hisayoshi Ando, Head of the Natural Resources and Fuel Department of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy under the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
