Nonprofit organization “Association of Suppliers for Oil and Gas Industry “Murmanshelf” invites you to participate in the 7th International Conference «ARCTIC DEVELOPMENT: STEP BY STEP». The Conference will take place in Murmansk on the 18th – 19th of November, 2014 supported by the Government of the Murmansk Region in the framework of the III Murmansk International Business Week.
Olga Buch, Director General of NPO “Association “Murmanshelf” held the meeting with business delegation from Port of Kemi (Finland). This delegation included Reijo Viitala, Executive Director of the port, members of the board, Captain of the ice-breaker “Sampo” and others.
Finnish representatives gave brief description of port infrastructure and its main economic factors, expressed their interest to cooperate with Association “Murmanshelf” for developing intermodal corridors and experience exchange.
Sides also discussed possible development of common projects under the programme of cross-border cooperation. Among other events, delegation visited Port of Murmansk and got acquainted with main port stevedore companies.
The Government of Murmansk region and Rogaland County are going to continue their mutual cooperation. Oil and gas industry is one of the main vectors.
Representatives of regional business community have arrived to Oslo for introducing to their Norwegian colleagues renewed economic possibilities of Murmansk region and an opportunity to expand further cooperation.
